Kicking around the corpse of common sense in America: Bush's Last Days

http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1864856,00.html

In this time article, we can read that "The Bush administration said Friday it is overturning a 25-year-old federal rule that severely restricts loaded guns in national parks."

WHY
WHY
FUCKING WHY DO YOU NEED A GUN IN A PARK. YOU FUCKING PEST. LUNATIC. NATURE HATING COCK-SUCKER. DIE.

"We are pleased that the Interior Department recognizes the right of law-abiding citizens to protect themselves and their families while enjoying America's national parks and wildlife refuges," said Chris W. Cox, the NRA's chief lobbyist.

The law will allow psychotic people to shoot bears, wolves, large cats, and innocent people under the guise of "protection". Hey, as long as there's an easily justifiable and NRA-approved reason for murder, it's okay....

yeah.... and in other equally depressing news. Yellowstone gray wolves will probably be taken off the endangered species list. Even though there're only about 1300 of them. And the governor of Utah, or Idaho, or whatever publicly expressed his utter excitement at putting a bullet in the first wolf he sees. The problem with wolves is that they attack cattle on the farms near their habitat. WHICH THE WILDLIFE SOCIETY REIMBURSES THEM FOR ANYWAY. Kill Kill Kill. Destroy Destroy Destroy.

"..State and federal agents in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming will still be allowed to kill problem wolves that threaten livestock. Since wolves returned to the West in the 1990s federal agents have killed more than 1,000 wolves, and last year 186 problem wolves were killed in the three states."

It's sad that these last symbols of American wildlife are being eradicated so carelessly. And for what? Because the wolves are perceived as an economic "threat"?? The reason that the wolves continue to be hunted is larger than just farmers protecting their property. It's an ethical dilemma. The fact is that humans cannot restrain themselves, not without laws and incentives that are only as solid as our weakest intentions. The laws change, and overnight, all of our good work is threatened by idiots with smoking guns.
